'Stang Diary with Nolan Harvey

With 'Stang Diary we'll be checking in with former Mustang basketball players.  We'll include several former players in these diary entries and get an update on what they're doing and have done since moving on from Friendswood High School.

In our first entry we check in with University of Texas at Dallas freshman point guard, and FHS class of 2011 alum, Nolan Harvey:

"I just got done with my first NCAA practice, and needless to say, it was a breeze.  With the help from all the practices over the years in the Friendswood program, I was exposed to pretty much all the same type of drills and fundamentals that are used here at UT Dallas.

Of course, the competition is on a whole new level.  There are 20 guys (all of which can hoop) trying out for 15 spots, so there can't really be any lack of concentration or motivation at any time.

Other than basketball, I'm majoring in geophysics and my hobbies include sleeping and reading Big O's tweets.

I wish the best of luck to the 2011-2012 Varsity Men's basketball team from Friendswood.  Enjoy it while it lasts, because there will never be the exact same camaraderie and brotherhood that you'll develop at Friendswood high school."
