Congratulations to the FHS Lady Mustang volleyball program for clinching the 24-4A title with a win over district rival Manvel on Tuesday. From the Galveston Daily News:
"Friendswood moved to 13-0 with another sweep over another district opponent. The Lady Mustangs dominated Manvel on the road, 25-11, 25-15 and 25-11, to inch closer to a perfect district season — they have yet to lose a single set to a district opponent this year.
For the Lady Mustangs, Jill Bergeson had 13 kills and 16 digs, and Alex Beaver had 24 assists. Shawna Spozio added nine kills for Friendswood."
