TEXAS CITY — Friendswood blocked a 32-yard field-goal attempt with 15 seconds left to preserve a 35-34 win over Texas City on Friday at Stingaree Stadium.

The thrilling victory gave the Mustangs the fourth and final playoff spot in District 24-4A.

The Mustangs kick off the first round of the football playoffs Friday, November 11th against the Angleton Wildcats at 7:30 at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston.
