"The Friendswood Lady Mustangs finished off their undefeated District 24-4A campaign Tuesday with a home victory over the Texas City Lady Stings.
Friendswood got its final sweep with a score of 25-13 in all three sets.
For the Lady Mustangs, Annie Mitchem led the way with 12 kills and two blocks, Jill Bergeson had 11 kills, and Shawna Spozio had 10. Alex Beaver had 25 assists, and Kaelan O’Neill had four aces.
Bailey Finn led the way for Texas City with four kills. The Lady Stings started three freshmen in the match and played promisingly, coach Christian Dunn said."
